Vandimai Fulsundar Devi Foundation (V.F. Foundation) was established with the primary objective of contributing to the education of children from underprivileged families. We believe that education is one of the most effective tools for overcoming social, educational, and economic inequality.
Education builds confidence, confidence creates opportunities, employment generates financial stability, and financial stability helps families move towards a better future.
## Challenges in Access to Quality Education
In India, both government and private institutions contribute to providing basic education to children from different social and economic backgrounds. However, many families struggle to afford private school fees, while some government schools face challenges related to infrastructure, sanitation facilities, teaching resources, and the availability of qualified teachers.
Affordable and quality education must be accessible to every child, regardless of their family's financial circumstances. Greater investment in public education, transparent teacher recruitment, improved school infrastructure, and effective monitoring of educational standards can help address these challenges.
## Education for Children of Construction Workers
Children of construction workers and other unorganized labourers often face difficulties accessing regular schooling because their families move frequently in search of employment.
V.F. Foundation aims to research and develop practical ways to address these educational challenges. One proposed initiative is to support mobile learning centres and community-based educational programmes for children who cannot easily access conventional schools.
We also envision collaborating with retired teachers and other experienced educators who are willing to teach children in nearby communities. Their knowledge and experience can help provide additional learning support to children who need it most.

Education should prepare individuals not only for academic success but also for practical life and employment. V.F. Foundation aims to support skill development initiatives that help young people acquire useful knowledge, improve their capabilities, and explore sustainable livelihood opportunities.
